Description
Linear Block, Sliding Block
Model Series: HGH/HGW
- For use with linear rail.
- HGH denotes a square block linear rail, while HGW denotes a wide (flanged) block type.
- The linear sliding block is utilized with linear rails in various industries, including CNC machinery, to bear loads on the rail.
- Manufactured from steel or aluminum, it incorporates internal ball bearings for motion.
- Allows for smooth and rapid linear reciprocation along the rail.
- The HGH model is a square-shaped linear sliding block, while the HGW model is a wide, flanged rectangular block.

Linear Rail

Installation: Correct Installation Procedure for Linear Blocks

- Position the slider parallel to the guide rail.
- Gently insert the slider onto the guide rail.
- Slide the slider fully onto the guide rail.
- Installation is complete; ensure the retaining balls are not dislodged.

During installation, do not remove the plastic dummy rails from the slider prematurely. Failure to do so may cause the balls within the slider to dislodge during assembly, preventing proper installation and function. When disassembling, utilize the dummy rail to guide the process and prevent ball loss.
Installation Tips:
If not using dummy rails, the sharp edges of the guide rail (made from No. 55 steel) can easily eject the balls from the ball groove.

The HGW and HGH series of linear blocks differ in several aspects related to their application and characteristics:
Structural Design
HGW (Heavy Load Wide Linear Guide)
- Wide Structure: Features a wider design for both the rail and block, enhancing stability and load distribution.
- Load Capacity: Engineered to support heavier loads, offering superior load-bearing capabilities compared to SBR (Support Rail Guide) blocks.
HGH (High-precision Linear Guide)
- Standard Structure: Characterized by a rectangular profile, incorporating internal ball bearings or rollers.
- High Precision: Delivers high-accuracy movement, suitable for applications demanding strict positional control.
Load Bearing and Stability
- HGW: Superior load capacity compared to HGH, ideal for heavy-duty applications requiring excellent load distribution. The wider rail profile increases stability and minimizes vibration and deflection.
- HGH: Offers good load capacity, though less than HGW, with a primary focus on movement precision. Suitable for applications requiring high accuracy without extreme load demands.
Applications
- HGW: Recommended for applications demanding high load capacity and stability, such as heavy industrial machinery, large CNC machines, and robust equipment.
- HGH: Ideal for high-precision and smooth motion applications, including CNC machines, 3D printers, and manufacturing equipment requiring precise positioning.
Summary
- HGW: Best suited for applications requiring high load capacity and maximum stability.
- HGH: Optimal for applications prioritizing high precision and smooth linear motion.
The selection between HGW and HGH depends on specific application requirements. For superior stability and load handling, HGW is the preferred choice, while HGH is more appropriate when precision is the primary concern.
