Description
Linear Block, Sliding Block
Model Series: HGH/HGW
- Designed for use with linear rails.
- HGH is a square profile block; HGW is a wide profile (flanged) block.
- Sliding blocks are utilized with linear rails in various industrial applications, including CNC machinery, serving as load-bearing components along the rail.
- Constructed from steel or aluminum, these blocks incorporate internal ball bearings for smooth motion.
- They enable easy and rapid linear movement along the rail.
- The HGH series features a square cross-section block, while the HGW series offers a wider, flanged rectangular profile.
Features of Linear Blocks (HGH and HGW Series)
- High precision, smoothness, superior wear resistance, and low noise operation.
- Utilizes advanced manufacturing technology for precise components with high hardness and durability.
- Offers high bearing capacity with minimal friction.
- Widely applicable in CNC machine tools, machining centers, electronics manufacturing, automation machinery, textile machinery, automotive engineering, woodworking machinery, printing machinery, and more.
Specifications: Linear Blocks (HGH and HGW Series)
Linear Block: HGH

Linear Block: HGW

Installation Procedure

1. Align the slider parallel to the linear rail.
2. Gently slide the block onto the rail.
3. Ensure the slider moves smoothly along the rail.
4. Installation is complete. Avoid dislodging the internal ball retainers.

During installation, do not remove the protective plastic inserts from the slider prematurely. This can lead to the loss of internal balls, rendering the block unusable. When disassembling, use the protective inserts to prevent ball loss.
Installation Tip:
When not using protective inserts, the sharp edges of the steel guide rail can dislodge the balls from the ball groove.

Differences between HGH and HGW linear blocks are noted below, based on their intended applications and properties:
Structure and Design
HGW (Heavy Load Wide Linear Guide)
- Wide Profile: Features a wider rail and block design, enhancing stability and weight distribution.
- Load Capacity: Engineered for heavy-duty applications, offering superior load-bearing capabilities compared to standard SBR (Support Rail Guide) blocks.
HGH (High-precision Linear Guide)
- Standard Profile: Characterized by a square rail profile with internal ball or roller bearings.
- High Precision: Delivers exceptional accuracy in motion, suitable for applications demanding high positional precision.
Load Capacity and Stability
- HGW: Possesses higher load capacity than HGH, making it ideal for applications requiring substantial load support and uniform weight distribution. The wider rail width contributes to increased motion stability and reduced vibration or deflection.
- HGH: Offers good load capacity but is primarily optimized for precise linear motion rather than extreme load handling. Suitable for tasks requiring high accuracy with moderate load requirements.
Applications
- HGW: Recommended for applications demanding high load capacity and stability, such as heavy industrial machinery, large-format CNC machines, and robust equipment.
- HGH: Best suited for applications requiring high precision and smooth movement, including CNC machines, 3D printers, and precision manufacturing equipment.
Summary
- HGW: Optimized for heavy loads and high stability.
- HGH: Optimized for high precision and smooth motion.
The selection between HGW and HGH depends on specific application requirements. For superior stability and heavy load handling, HGW is the preferred choice. For tasks prioritizing precision and smooth movement, HGH is more appropriate.
