Description
Linear Block, Sliding Block
Model Series: HGH/HGW
- Designed for use with linear guide rails.
- HGH denotes a square profile linear block, while HGW represents a wide profile (flanged) block type.
- Linear blocks are utilized with linear guide rails in various industrial applications, including CNC machinery. They serve as the load-bearing component that moves along the guide rail.
- Constructed from steel or aluminum, these blocks incorporate internal ball bearings for smooth motion.
- They facilitate easy and rapid linear movement along the guide rail.
- The HGH series features a standard square profile, while the HGW series offers a wider profile with flanges.
Features: Linear Block (HGH and HGW Series)
- High precision, smooth operation, superior wear resistance, and low noise levels.
- Advanced manufacturing processes ensure precise products with high hardness and durability.
- High load-bearing capacity with minimal friction.
- Widely applied in CNC machine tools, machining centers, electronics, automation machinery, textile machinery, automotive and woodworking machinery, printing machinery, and more.
- Achieves high precision, smooth operation, excellent wear resistance, and low noise output.
- Employs advanced manufacturing technology for precise, high-hardness, and durable products.

Linear Rail

Installation: Proper Linear Block Installation Procedure

- Position the slider parallel to the guide rail.
- Gently guide the slider onto the rail.
- Slide the block onto the guide rail until fully seated.
- Installation is complete; ensure no steel balls are dislodged.

During installation, do not remove the protective plastic inserts from the slider beforehand, as this may cause the internal steel balls to dislodge, preventing proper installation and function. When disassembling, use the inserts to retain the balls and prevent their loss.
Installation Tips:
Using the protective inserts is recommended. Without them, the sharp edges of guide rails made from Steel No. 55 can potentially eject the balls from the ball grooves.

Steel casing provides secure retention of balls.

Linear blocks of type HGW and HGH differ in several aspects based on their application and characteristics:
HGW (Heavy Load Wide Linear Guide)
- Wide Structure: Features a wider design for both the rail and block, enhancing stability and load distribution.
- Load Capacity: Engineered for heavy-duty applications, capable of supporting higher loads compared to SBR (Support Rail Guide) linear blocks.
HGH (High-precision Linear Guide)
- Standard Profile: Characterized by a square profile containing internal ball or roller bearings.
- High Precision: Delivers superior positional accuracy and smooth motion, ideal for applications requiring high fidelity.
Load Capacity and Stability
- HGW: Offers superior load-bearing capabilities and enhanced stability due to its wider profile. It is suited for applications with significant loads and where vibration damping is critical. The increased width of the rail contributes to greater stability and reduced deflection during operation.
- HGH: Provides good load capacity, though not as high as HGW. It prioritizes movement precision over extreme load handling and is well-suited for applications demanding high accuracy without excessive weight.
Applications
- HGW: Recommended for applications demanding high load capacity and exceptional stability, such as heavy industrial machinery, large-format CNC machines, and equipment requiring robust durability.
- HGH: Ideal for applications where high precision and smooth motion are paramount, including CNC machines, 3D printers, and manufacturing equipment requiring precise movements.
Summary
- HGW: Best suited for applications requiring high load-bearing capacity and stability.
- HGH: Optimal for applications prioritizing high precision and smooth motion.
The selection between HGW and HGH depends on the specific requirements of the application. For applications demanding superior stability and load handling, the HGW is the preferred choice, while the HGH is more appropriate for tasks where precision is the primary consideration.
