Polyvinylchloride (PVC) Properties

Differences Between PVC, PU, and Stainless Steel Conveyor Belts

1. Materials and Properties

   • PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
     ✅ Flexible and offers moderate chemical resistance.
     ✅ More economical than PU and stainless steel.
     ✅ Suitable for general applications such as packaging or transporting materials without oil and grease.
     ❌ Not resistant to high temperatures; may wear faster than PU.

   • PU (Polyurethane)
     ✅ Superior resistance to fats, oils, and chemicals compared to PVC.
     ✅ Smoother surface, ideal for food and pharmaceutical industries.
     ✅ More resistant to tearing and has a longer service life than PVC.
     ❌ Higher cost than PVC.

   • Stainless Steel
     ✅ High strength, resistant to impact and wear.
     ✅ Suitable for applications requiring high hygiene standards, such as food and beverage processing.
     ✅ Resistant to high temperatures and chemicals.
     ❌ High cost and potentially heavy.
