Description

The EE-SX674AWR fork type sensor is a Photo Interrupter object detection sensor utilizing Infrared Light for detection. It integrates both the Emitter and Receiver within a single housing. When an object passes through and interrupts the light beam, the sensor immediately outputs a signal.
Its fork-type construction facilitates easy installation without the need for precise alignment between the emitter and receiver. This model offers high-speed and high-precision detection, making it ideal for automated machinery applications such as counters, packaging machines, labeling machines, conveyor systems, and general industrial equipment requiring stable detection.
Technical Specifications

Operating Principle
The sensor operates by emitting infrared light from the Emitter to the Receiver within the unit. When no object is present, the light beam travels unobstructed, and the sensor does not output a signal.
However, when an object interrupts the beam, the sensor detects it immediately and sends an NPN output signal to a control circuit, such as a PLC or microcontroller, to initiate further actions like counting, stopping, or sorting.
Applications
- Automatic part counting systems
- Product sorting systems on conveyor belts
- Packaging Machines
- Labeling and label inspection machines
- Automation systems in small to medium industrial machinery
- Object positioning or edge detection tasks
