Protective Bellows
Protective Bellows are utilized to shield Ballscrews and Linear Guideways from dust, impact, and to reduce drag force during motion. This extends machine lifespan and minimizes downtime.

1. End Frame for Bellows

Figure 1: Features an L-shaped rigid plastic/polymer frame designed for securely mounting the ends of the Bellows to the machine or other structures.

Includes slots/notches for locking or assembling with the Bellow folds and other fastening components.
2. Folded Bellow Cover Design

Figures 2-3: The main body of the Bellow features an accordion-style fold to accommodate the extension and retraction of the Linear Axis during movement.

Constructed from materials resistant to water, oil, and abrasion, such as PVC Fabric, Polyurethane Coated Nylon, or other composite materials.

Used to enclose or cover Ballscrews or Linear Guideways for:

Protection against dust, metal chips, oil, etc.

Shielding from external impact.

Reduction of drag force during axis movement.

Application Procedure

The ends of the Bellow are secured to the End Frames on both sides.

The assembly is then mounted onto the frame of the CNC machine or automation system.

The folded design allows the Bellow to extend with the machine’s linear axis and retract without self-overlap or operational interference.
