Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Bottom Sealing via Air Blast
A : Carton thickness exceeding 5 layers requires a deep crease.
B : For creases of 5 layers or more, the crease length of the blade on one side of the carton should be thicker than that of the blade in the front chamber.
Side A (Front of Carton)
A : Side A refers to the front surface of the carton that is engaged by the suction cups of the carton erector.
B : The printing orientation of Side A dictates the placement of carton details and the bottom.
C : Side A indicates the front of the carton, displaying information such as the carton’s orientation.
D : The machine features a simple operational model, adaptable for left-to-right or right-to-left configurations.
E : Materials should not be excessively soft. A flat surface is crucial, especially for high-speed carton erectors, ensuring optimal sample performance.
Material Considerations
A : Materials that are too soft or possess an uneven surface can lead to rapid operational wear. Providing optimal product samples is recommended.
B : Training and sample information should be provided for materials exceeding 5 layers in thickness.
Scoring/Creasing
A : In principle, the leading edges of all carton materials should be scored diagonally, particularly for cartons exceeding 5 layers that require rapid processing.
B : The purpose of diagonal scoring is to prevent non-standard folding and carton deformation, which can negatively impact subsequent operations.
C : The diagonal scoring position, as illustrated, should be approximately 1/3 of the height of the front and rear blades, relative to the carton thickness.
Blade Specification
A : When manually folding and flattening the two outer blades, ensure they do not overlap and maintain a gap of 1-2 mm.
B : When folded in half, the front and rear inner blades must not overlap.
C : The front and rear inner blades should have a slight square profile. The two outer blades must be consistently sized and diagonally scored for optimal shaping.
Dimensional Requirements
A : For machine planning, it is recommended to provide a comprehensive list of specifications (length, width, height) for reference.
B : Square cartons with a fixed height-to-length ratio that is not excessively large require particular attention to dimensional stability.
C : For carton erectors, the mechanism is designed for optimal performance within a specific size range. Significant variations in carton dimensions may necessitate specialized tooling or adjustments.
